Is it best to pay off balance all at once or should I make larger than minimum payments to improve credit score?

Well, CBV Collections couldnt collect so they gave it back to telus and telus resold it to Credit Bureau Of Canada Collections. Now they are threatening me with a court proceeding. Im anxiously waiting for that court order, this is going to be fun.

Forget credit repair companies. Most are pure scam. There is nothing they can do that you can’t do yourself.
Legitimate derogatory items stay on your credit report for 7-1/2 years from the date of first deficiency, whether paid, unpaid, or settled. Paying them off will not improve your score. You may as well settle for as little as possible.
Start negotiating with the newest derogatory item and work back to the oldest. The older an item, the less impact. Get written agreements before you pay and don’t give the collector direct access to your bank account.
If you don’t have any current, active accounts, get a credit card, even if you have to get a secured card. Use the card and pay in full each month. This builds good payment history which will start to rebuild your credit. You will need at least 24 months of consistent, on time payment history to see any improvement in your score.
